20/02/2011 - SUBC Ladies get knocked out of BUCS Trophy
We knew it was going to be very difficult, especially when only going up with 8 people and to add to that losing Amy Wright and Sarah Loughlin to academics.
SUBC played real well, Hustling for every play and making it very difficult for the well drilled UWIC team to make any plays.
The game was very close till half-time , when UWIC started to pull away from the tiredness of the SUBC girls on defence. SUBC girls managed to play through the beatings they were getting with each play in the 3rd Quarter, SUBC played awesome defense and managed to win that quarter from the fast break opportunities.
In the 4th Quarter it showed they SUBC needed more bodies just to contend with this team, as the game was very physical. UWIC managed to storm ahead keeping us to only 8 points in the 4th, and scoring 24 points.

SUBC's BUCS season is over now.. This will give them more focus on the SABA league and Cup.

12/02/2011 - SUBC Ladies make it to next round of BUCS Trophy
University of Bedfordshire could not handle the strong defence of the SUBC girls. SUBC girls hammered bedfordshire 91 - 20.
SUBC now face Div 1 west rivals UWIC 2nds, Uwic have won both encounters this season so far. The last game SUBC lost by 2 points.
Coach E-man says:"Going away to a very organised UWIC side, is going to be tough again.. But I feel we have the tools to beat them, im looking forward to the game as the SUBC girls are improving with every game played"
SUBC are now in stage 2 of the competition.. Wishing them the best success to reach stage 3
